MR. LENNOX MCCARTNEY
BOARD MEMBER

Mr. McCartney obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
His professional career started with Price Waterhouse here in Nassau and Toronto, Canada where he served as staff accountant and senior consultant and where he passed his CPA examinations.
He has served as the financial controller of the Bahamas Development Bank, an information technology consultant with the National Insurance Board, a manager in the consulting division of Pannell Kerr Forster, Toronto Canada, and worked in his own information technology consulting firm in Toronto, Canada.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. McCartney served as Director of the National Insurance Board from 1995 to February 2008, and previously between 1987 and 1988.
He is currently a member of the Board of the Central Bank of the Bahamas and has previously served as a director of the Bank of the Bahamas Limited.
Mr. McCartney is currently the Registrar of Insurance Companies, a position he has held since February 2008.
Mr. McCartney was appointed as an ex-officio Member of the Commission, as a result of his appointment as Registrar of Insurance Companies in February 2008.
He is married and is the father of five children.
