This NOTICE is
issued by the Securities Commission of The Bahamas.
It has been brought to the
attention of the Securities Commission of The Bahamas that Atlantis
Capital Fund Limited (Atlantis) is carrying on or attempting to carry on
business as an investment fund in contravention of the Investment Funds
Act, 2003.
The general public is
HEREBY ADVISED that Atlantis Capital Fund Limited is not registered
with nor licensed by the Securities Commission in any way,
nor have they applied for registration
or licensing. Therefore, any activity by this company that seeks to
receive monies from members of the general public for investment purposes
is a violation of the Investment Fund Act, 2003 (“the Act”) and as such is
an offense punishable by law.
Background
Atlantis Capital Fund
Limited
appears to be an investment vehicle operating in European securities
markets. It has apparently listed its address as #27 Cumberland Street,
Nassau, Bahamas. The Commission has not found a record of incorporation
for Atlantis in this jurisdiction and to date has no knowledge that can
verify the existence of this entity.
Persons who are desirous
or have been solicited to invest with the above named entity should be
cognizant that they are doing so with an unregulated entity. You are
therefore strongly urged to conduct full and proper due diligence and
exercise the utmost caution before engaging in such transactions with this
entity.
