PUBLIC NOTICE

No. 5 of 2004              November 30, 2004

Re:  MARIO JAEGER & JR CTS TREND LTD.

                                                                                                                 

This NOTICE is issued by the Securities Commission of The Bahamas.

 

It has been brought to the attention of the Securities Commission of The Bahamas that the above named person and company claim to have a presence in or a connection with, The Bahamas, and appear to be involved in activities related to the securities industry in this jurisdiction.

 

The general public is HEREBY ADVISED that Mario Jaeger & JR CTS Trend Ltd. are not registered with, the Securities Commission in any way, nor are they applicants for registration. FURTHER, the Securities Commission has not approved Mario Jaeger & JR CTS Trend Ltd. to operate in the securities industry in this jurisdiction.  Therefore, any activity by this person and company in this regard is a violation of the Securities Industry Act, 1999 (“the Act”) and punishable under the terms of the Act. 

 

BACKGROUND

 

It appears that Mario Jaeger is conducting unauthorized securities business by selling a financial instrument called a participating certificate through JR CTS Trend Ltd.  This activity is a principal broking service (the purchase and sale of financial instruments in the institution’s own name for the account of others) and as such subject to authorization.

 

Persons who are desirous of investing or have been solicited to invest with the above mentioned person and entity are advised that they are doing so with an unregulated person and company. You are therefore strongly urged to conduct full and proper due diligence and exercise the utmost caution before engaging in any securities transactions with them.
