World Investor Week 2021

The Securities Commission of The Bahamas joins IOSCO and securities regulators around the world in celebrating World Investor Week 2021.

The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) is celebrating the fifth annual World Investor Week (WIW) from 4 to 10 October 2021. To learn more about World Investor Week visit www.worldinvestorweek.org

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, IOSCO members may celebrate WIW in their jurisdiction any week in October and November, to promote financial literacy and investor education. The Securities Commission of The Bahamas will observe WIW 2021 from 11-17 October 2021 with a number of activities.

Video Competition

The Securities Commission will launch a video competition: “Starting Out? Start Right!” in celebration of World Investor Week. The competition challenges videographers to highlight key financial concepts and practices young Bahamians can use to be financially resilient and start on the path to wealth building.  The competition is open to residents 18 and over.

$5000 cash grand prize for the winner, cash prizes for 2nd and 3rd place, and People’s Choice.

Submission dates: 11 October – 30 November 2021
